Jack and I actually took some time to ourselves yesterday, you know, to stop and smell the roses 🙂 No pun intended. No roses, but beautiful Stargazers… but I digress.

We took the afternoon and planned on early evening to go to Dexter, to Terry B’s restaurant on the recommendation of a piano tuning customer. She was right! The small plates we ate, early in their dinner hour (4:30 pm) were oustanding. The Braised Kurobuta Pork Belly was amazing and even though I had enough, I also HAD to finish.

We planned on just cruising around, walk around some, visit a few places in Ann Arbor, etc. We hit a chocolate shop, a coffee shop, people-watched a little and then decided to stop into Weber’s Inn.

That is where our evening took a turn…

The Habitat is the lounge/bar at Weber’s Inn. There we had the pleasure of listening, meeting and becoming acquainted with Tatiana Scavnicky and Mark Watson. They are a duet with tons of talent, great presence and well, a couple. Tatiana has some great originals, Mark is a gifted musician and the tracks that he creates so the two of them have such a full and complete sound are some of the best we have ever encountered.

We found some a lot of symmetry and kindred energy in the two of them.

Valentine’s Day 2013 — another memorable day for Jack and I. We just keep adding days like this to our list of our ‘moments’. We are truly lucky.
